Theresa Thibodeau is a successful entrepreneur, community leader, and former state senator from Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up in Omaha and went on to earn a degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she walked on and earned a scholarship for track and Cross Country and earned the honor of being an Academic All American.
After graduation, Theresa began a successful career in human resources, working for several different companies. She owned and operated the Primrose School of La Vista, a highly regarded early childhood education center in the Omaha area.
In addition to her successful business career, Theresa has been an active participant in her community. She served in the Nebraska Legislature, representing the people of her district and working on important issues such as education, economic development, and health care. Theresa has also been involved in many community organizations and boards. She served on the Omaha Personnel Board, board President for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands home and School Board President, Set-Me-Free Project Board, Rose Theater Auxiliary board, Christ Child Auxiliary, Sarpy Chamber Women of Wisdom, and many other boards throughout her career.
Theresa is a graduate of both Leadership Omaha and Leadership Sarpy, two prestigious leadership development programs. She has been recognized for her outstanding achievements with awards such as the Midlands Business Journal 40 under 40 and the Sarpy County Up and Coming Business Award.
In her spare time, Theresa likes to spend time with her family going to different locally owned restaurants, reading about business and economic development, and researching public policy and its effect on the economy.

Chris Bruns is a driven and accomplished native of North Platte, Nebraska, hailing from a family with a long history in the railroad industry. Having learned the value of hard work and service from an early age, Chris enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after graduating from North Platte High School in 2003. During his nearly decade-long military career, Chris served in both combat and humanitarian missions, and earned a reputation as a skilled and effective leader.
After completing his military service, Chris pursued higher education at Creighton University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Entrepreneurship and minoring in Political Science. He then went on to work in the financial services industry, where he gained extensive experience working with businesses of all sizes.
Today, Chris serves as Chairman of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners, where he is committed to driving economic growth and creating new opportunities for local businesses. He has successfully led efforts to establish an Inland Port in Lincoln County, and has worked tirelessly to attract new industry to the region.
In addition to serving as a County Commissioner, Chris currently serves as a member of the Nebraska Diplomats, the North Platte Area Chamber and Development Corporation Board of Directors, the North Platte Economic Development Committee, the West Central District Economic Development District Board of Directors, the University of Nebraska Extension Board for Lincoln, Logan, and McPherson Counties, the Lincoln County Ag Society, and the Board of Health for the West Central District Health Department. Chris is also an active member of the North Platte chapter of Optimists International, the VFW Post 1504, the American Legion Post 279, the Lincoln County Cattlemen, and the Lincoln County Farm Bureau.
Chris is married to his high school sweetheart, Ashley, and together they have three children. When he is not working to make Nebraska a better place, Chris can be found on his family’s ranch near North Platte, where he enjoys spending time with his loved ones and taking in the beauty of the region.
