The Nebraska economy has historically been one of the strongest in the nation. According to Blueprint Nebraska, during the Great Recession, Nebraska’s strong economy was able to withstand the recession, kept unemployment among the lowest in the nation at around 5%, and experienced a much higher GDP growth than the US economy. In May of 2022, Merchant Maverick ranked Nebraska the #1 most recession-proof state.
Nebraska has consistently been considered a great place to work, live and raise a family. The overall cost of living is below the national average and ranks the 13 lowest. The 2022 America’s Safest States Rankings show Nebraska as the #10 safest state to live in. Additionally, Nebraskans have many scenic outdoor areas with endless outdoor activities. The most valuable attribute of Nebraska is its people. Nebraska has the friendliest people in the nation.
